dc.description.abstract | Hybrid systems using renewable energy sources are attractive solutions for decentralized electricity production. They are used in various applications, particularly for pumping systems, powering isolated sites, and increasingly for building electrification. Given the multitude of energy sources used, it is necessary to master energy management and control. The work presented in this thesis contributes to the control and management of a hybrid system for electricity production intended to supply a building connected to the power grid. The objective is to turn the building into a local renewable energy production cooperative, thus increasing its energy autonomy and reducing its dependence on fossil-based primary production systems. The studied system consists of a photovoltaic generator, a small wind turbine based on a permanent magnet synchronous generator, and an energy storage battery. The optimization of the available energy in each module of the system is carried out by implementing a global control through FS-MPC applied to all system converters. This discrete technique allows predicting the future behaviour of the controlled variable. Its predefined cost function offers flexibility by considering all criteria and constraints to be minimized with the same cost function and simultaneously. The proposed management strategy is based on fuzzy control of battery energy to maintain the energy balance between production and demand in the system, keeping the battery's state of charge within authorized limits. This strategy also controls the building load and the injected power flow into the grid. The FS-MPC control and proposed management strategy are validated by simulations in MATLAB/Simulink, taking into account the variable nature of the used renewable sources and changes in the building load. | |
